This document appears in our thesis called Onomastics of the littoral sector of Bayonne Anglet Biarritz in the XVIIIth century, is mainly centred on a better knowledge of the relationships established in the course of centuries, just as well from a historical point of view as from a linguistic one, between Basque and Occitan - particularly Gascon - languages and cultures, in a zone where linguistic contacts between Basques and Gascons are still underrated and above all, badly known : The Bayonne region.
