A propos de « Cas ou fonctions ? » : Les fonctions syntaxiques sont des unités linguistiques

Abstract : In this paper we make some suggestions about syntactic functions, taking in account an ergative casual-marking language as Basque. Functions as linguistic units are to be analysed at three levels: the formal level, the syntactic level and the semantic one. We put a handwritten note of André Martinet about the notion of subject in appendix.
